Supplier Quality Manager

As a consultant with us, you work on assignments where quality is business-critical – often at the intersection of procurement, engineering, production and suppliers.

About the role

As a Supplier Quality Manager you are responsible for supplier quality throughout the lifecycle – from requirements and procurement to follow-up, non-conformance handling and improvement work. You work both operationally and developmentally, with the goal of securing stable delivery, the right quality and continuous improvements in the supplier chain.

You collaborate closely with internal functions such as procurement, engineering, production, project and other quality roles, and maintain an ongoing dialogue with suppliers both nationally and internationally. Travel may occur depending on the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Secure quality requirements in RFQs, contracts and purchase orders

• Manage and follow up quality cases in the quality system

• Drive complaints and non-conformance handling towards suppliers

• Carry out and follow up FAI (First Article Inspection)

• Perform root-cause analyses (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions

• Conduct supplier audits (process and/or product audits)

• Perform risk analyses related to suppliers, products and processes

• Follow up and analyze supplier quality performance (KPIs)

• Drive improvement programs together with suppliers and internal teams

• Contribute to the development of ways of working, processes and quality systems

You are confident in dialogue with suppliers, have the ability to drive questions independently and dare to set requirements – while building long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, quality or equivalent

• At least 2–5 years' experience of quality work in industry, production or the supplier chain

• Experience of supplier quality, non-conformance handling and FAI

• Good knowledge of quality methodology and problem solving

• Ability to work in a structured, analytical and independent way

• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English

Nice to have

• Experience of Supplier Quality / Supply Quality Management

• Hands-on experience of tools such as 8D, DMAIC, FMEA, MSA, RCA or Six Sigma

• Experience of business or quality systems (e.g. IFS, SAP)

• Previous experience of leading or coordinating quality roles
