Electronics Engineer

The assignments vary in scope and sector, but what they share is the need for technically skilled, analytical and solution-oriented electronics engineers who can contribute throughout the entire product development process – from concept and design to verification, industrialization and production support.

About the role

As an Electronics Engineer, you are responsible for the development, design and verification of electronics and electrical systems. Depending on the assignment, the work may include electronics design, wiring-harness and installation design, wiring diagrams, component selection, integration and technical documentation.

You work closely with mechanical design, systems engineers, software developers, production, procurement and suppliers to ensure robust and cost-effective solutions that meet requirements for function, quality, manufacturability and serviceability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design electronics and electrical systems.

• Design wiring harnesses, electrical installations and routing solutions.

• Produce wiring diagrams, technical documentation and design data.

• Work with CAD tools for electrical and mechanical design.

• Ensure designs meet requirements for function, quality, EMC, safety and manufacturability.

• Take part in concept studies, design reviews and technical investigations.

• Perform verification, troubleshooting and root-cause analyses.

• Support prototype builds, testing, industrialization and production introduction.

• Manage engineering changes and update product documentation.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and the development of methods, standards and ways of working.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or equivalent.

• At least 3–5 years' experience of electronics development, electrical design or electrical installations.

• Experience with CAD tools for electronics or mechanical design (e.g. CATIA, Creo, Siemens NX or E3).

• Experience of technical documentation and drawing production.

• Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA).

• Experience of product development in cross-functional projects.

• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Experience from the automotive, defense, aerospace or manufacturing industry.

• Experience of wiring-harness design or electrical distribution systems.

• Knowledge of EMC, functional safety or high-voltage systems.

• Experience of PLM systems such as ENOVIA, Teamcenter or Windchill.

• Experience of verification, prototype builds and production support.
